I really don't think they should replace him. I mean, is there anyone left alive in Midsommer or the adjacent areas to murder?

I'd say no!

They could move on to Wheatley, and kill off a few of the unwanted there.

This is how I find out! I NEED Midsomer Murders just to get through the week ! I don't care how many repeats they give us. Well, they ( Knowledge Network- Vancouver/Seattle ) are letting us down gently by dovetailing 'Inspector Morse' with John Thaw...and although I cringe at the big hair and big shoulder pads.... I love to watch Morse driving his Jag around Oxford, later alone at home, gazing longingly with his periwinkle blue eyes into his scotch glass and musing on his solitude whilst listening to heart rending music.

John Nettles will be missed! But let us move on! Ciaran Hinds...?

Right, googled him. I've seen him in a lot of things...I just didn't know his name. He is a good actor, but doesn't hold a candle to Nathaniel Parker in my book! Laughing

Now it's my turn, whose Nathaniel Parker? Is he someone who is being considered or has been chosen to replace John Nettles?
