Ruth, come a proper summer I have been on the press and the ambient temperature is in three figures (F)- plus every time you put your foot on the pedal there is another rush of steam in your face- but as a rule we are cosy in the winter.

Be safe with your impending snowfall Ruth- I bet your local Tesco is busy with folk stocking up, round here if there was half an inch of snow the shops would be cleared.

We have the snow coming down as forecast Vince, we don't panic buy, people just carry on, we go to the shop on foot if necessary.  You see lots of folks pulling their shopping home on a sledge. The farmers all go to Tesco in their tractors, it's a funny sight seeing the car park with rows of tractors.

No snow --as yet-- but very frosty and foggy---staying indoors to-day.

It looks like summer here if you look upwards to the sky, it's when you look down and see the snow that you realise it's still winter, plus it's -2 out there.

I've just looked out of the window Surprised there's about 2 inches of the white stuff over everything and it's coming down thick and fast.

.....and it's still snowing, it's not stopped all day. It looks lovely across the valley, about 6 to 7 inches now. The snow plough keeps going passed, the farmers are all out with their tractors trying to keep the main roads open. I notice the buses to Rochdale stopped hours ago so the spot where I took the frozen reservoir pic yesterday is most likely blocked.

It's been a very dark grey day here with some rain. I went out to photograph some urban landscapes. Not pretty, but depicting a place that will soon be demolished and changed forever.

No snow......yet.
