Leicester Regiment 1st Afghan War

Upstairs is now the Leicester Regiment Museum. Leicestershire Regiment were known as "tigers" from their cap badges a name adopted by Leicester rugby club.This case shows some guns and swords from 1st Afghan War 1838-1842 where Leicester Tigers aquired the name and badge.
