What a superb pic...yes it does look like a painting. Peter it is a photo of course but I am going to turn it into a watercolour painting! Looking for inspiration and have just found it. Thank you!

When I took the photo it was a dull gray day, I just added a new sky to match the photo. Thats the only thing Photoshopped.

Nice composition Peter. Looks a bit of HDR effect? The row of cottages on the right look a little soft! Perhaps try using a unsharp mask on original?
