The mighty Yew tree at St Helens church, Hemsworth, West Yorkshire. This ancient tree, estimated to be over 700 years old, has a circumference of over 15 ft and is 3 ft tall. There is a stone tablet at the base of the tree recording that it 'lost some of its noblest branches' during the great gale of January 1884.
