Description

Lancaster Canal near Farleton, Cumbria

View of the northern reaches of the Lancaster canal near Farleton in Cumbria. This section of the canal is above the site of the disused locks at Tewitfield and is at present not navigable but is being worked on as part of a scheme to reopen this part to navigation.

Nice pastoral scene Andrew and interesting narrative. I can remember fishing in the Lancaster Canal 40+ years ago
