Description

The Stocks.

Old Stocks in front of the burial grounds on the original site of the first Marsden Church. Behind can be seen the tomb of Enoch Taylor and his family. Enoch was the local blacksmith who was the first person in the area to manufacture mechanical cropping machines which triggered the Luddite Revolt.
