About Beach House Park
Worthing's foremost ornamental garden that was purchased from the Beach House Estate in December 1922 and opened to the public in Spring 1924.
Containing formal ornamental gardens, including an interesting Memorial to wartime carrier Pigeons, five automatically irrigated international class flat bowling greens, and a licensed café run by concession.
In addition there are three tennis courts and three changing pavilions, (including attendants office) WC’s including disabled, and a Bowls Shop run by concession.
Also at Beach House Park there are two outdoor Chess / Draughts boards. This facility is free and can be used by asking either a gardener or the attendant (bowls season only) if the pieces are not out ready.
