About Stoughton
This is a pleasant rural village lying between Chichesters' old harbour and the footpaths of the South Down's Way. It has a patchwork of fields in infinite shades of green, and the close proximity of Kingsley Vale Nature Reserve makes it an idyllic place for viewing the to and 'fro of a wealth of migratory birdlife.
In the landscape surrounding Stoughton, visitors will find a host of attractions, these include the Weald and Downland Museum, Goodwood Racecourse, Goodwood House, Denman's Gardens and Upton Park, belonging to the National Trust.
Stoughton is a lovely place for visiting Chichesters' famous harbour waters, and the beaches of Bracklesham Bay. It is also offers delightful opportunities for walking through the myriad of pretty hamlets and villages, spread along the South Down's Way.
