A picture of Ash Vale

The Basingstoke Canal, constructed 1778-94, passes through Ash Vale in Surrey. Ash wharf was on the far side of the canal in this picture, to the left. The buildings in the far background are along Ash Hill Road.(Photo taken 22 Dec. 2003)
