Description

Claymills Pumping Station,nr Burton on Trent

In the early 1880's the need for a sewage pumping station to be built was decided and by 1886 the pumping station and sewage farm were operating. On the site there are four compound rota beam pumping engines housed in two houses. This picture shows engine shed two, and the main chimney.
