Pictures of Somerset![]() Submitted by Michael Cassidy(6th October 2008)Sunset in the West The photograph was taken from the top of Ham Hill looking towards the setting winter sun. It had been misty all day, but the top of Ham Hill was above the mist, under a cloudless, blue sky. Looking down from the hill top, the odd tree and hill poked up here and there through the mist, like small islands. A remarkable sight that can only be partly captured by the camera. Comment by MaggieSimpson(13th November 2008)Funnily enough, the name Somerset reminds me of summer sunset. Comment by Julie Lee(15th September 2009)Without your wonderful description, I would have assumed early morning, and a really nice picture of the 'other wordliness' conveyed by mist Add a comment...Please login to make a comment on this picture © 2001-2009 Pictures of England.com - All rights reserved Terms & Conditions - Free Pictures Please support this site |
