About Churchingford

This is a delightful Somerset village nestling beneath the beautiful Blackdown Hills, close to the banks of the Bolham River. It offers a wealth of pretty cottages, stone barns and farmhouses set in the village and the surrounding countryside, most of which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Facilities in the village consist of a shop and a pub, with better shopping to be found in the near-by town of Chard.

The scenery around these parts is superb, it is ideal for walking, bird-watching, river-side strolls, fishing and cycling. Churchingford is within easy reach of some of Somerset's finest attractions including Ford Abbey and National Trust Gardens and the Cricket St. Thomas Wildlife Park. It is also within easy reach of Honiton, and if you wish to venture a little further there are the seaside resorts of Seaton, Sidmouth and Lyme Regis.

The village offers good local holiday accommodation including friendly Bed and Breakfast, and holiday cottages.
