Haughmond Abbey, Well House

In the woods above the ruins of the Abbey the Well House was built over the spring that supplied the Abbey's water.

(There was snow on 11 Sept.?) Yes, an interesting photo. The monks wanted their water without dust & bird droppings in it I'm sure.
