About Ashbury
The village of Ashbury is located in a lovely scenic area where the borders of south Oxfordshire meet with Wiltshire. It is one of a string of villages along the White Horse Downs giving access to the Ridgeway Path.
Ashbury has always been noted for its pretty cottages and fine handsome properties, its historic parish church dedicated to St. Mary the Virgin is Grade I Listed and is well worth seeing. Another picturesque building worthy of note is the Rose and Crown Hotel.
Recently, the historic atmosphere of the village has been heightened by the discovery of an unusual 3-D crop circle.
Ashbury makes the perfect location for anyone wishing to spend a few days away from the stress of every day life soaking up the fresh air and tranquility of peaceful English countryside.
