About Arnold
This is an attractive part of Nottingham, at its heart is the splendid church dedicated to St. Mary, a place of worship for over one thousand years. The church is a beautiful building with a sturdy clock face tower adorned with graceful pinnacles. Inside is very serene, with much to interest, admire and inspire, including beautiful stained glass and a magnificent font from 1899.
The centre of Arnold is a lively place full of shops, cafe's, pubs and restaurants and theatres. Each day the centre bustles with shoppers, nightfall sees a change of scene with folk descending on a range of entertainment venues including the fine Bonington Theatre which offers a varied programme of amateur and professional performances of music, dance and drama.
For "green lungs" visitors need look no further than Arnot Hill Park, a stunning landscape full of lovely aspects including a delightful lake flooded with wildlife, Arnot Hill House and Arnold's lofty War memorial.
Arnold is well placed for the centre of Nottingham, thus visitors have access to a wide range of the city's attractions, its architecture and of course the lovely Sherwood Forest.
