Anne was the youngest of the Bronte sisters living her younger years in Haworth, Yorkshire where her father was the curate. She was raised by her Aunt Elizabeth Branwell after the tragic death of her mother from cancer. Anne was a novelist like her sisters but also gained employment as a governess. This was how she became associated with Scarborough. She had a short but rather tragic life and died aged 29 from tuberculosis.
