About The Yorkshire Wheel
What a way to enjoy a fantastic view over the amazing city of York! The new Norwich Union Yorkshire wheel is vast, it measures some 54 meters skywards and has a diameter of around 50 meters. It contains 42 air conditioned pods for up to eight spectators, with one luxury VIP pod for anyone wanting the ultimate experience whilst being high above the city.
From this terrific vantage point you can take in sweeping views of York's fine landscape, both countryside and city, with a memorable view of the Minster, and of the River Ouse.
This attraction is an ideal way for the whole family to experience York from the air, it is a comfortable way to see anything you might have missed on foot, and will leave you with a truly unforgettable experience.
The Yorkshire Wheel operates daily between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. with the last tickets available at 5.15 p.m. During some months of the year there are evening sessions between 6.p.m. and 8.45.p.m.
