About Honeysuckle Cottage

Honeysuckle is a charming old stone cottage nestling in the small village of Lofthouse, 6 miles from Pateley Bridge in Nidderdale in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Nidderdale is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with dry stone walls, cascading rivers and rolling countryside - it is ideal for walking, bird watching, horse riding, cycling, fishing and just relaxing.
In picturesque Pateley Bridge you will find all the shops you need. There are 2 butchers, numerous shops selling local produce and the Oldest Sweetshop in the World as well as banks, restuarants and take aways. as well as banks,
In Lofthouse itself, there is The Crown, a local pub serving generous portions. It is within a few minutes walk of the cottage. Nearby are numerous other outstanding restuarants and eateries.
Places to visit locally include How Steen Gorge, Middlesmoor and Brimham Rocks as well as the attractions of Fountains Abbey, Ripon Cathedral, Knaresborough Castle and boating on the River Nidd. Masham is a delightful little town with markets and a local brewery. In Harrogate Betty's tea room and the RHS gardens.
Further away is the ancient walled city of York
The cottage itself retains many original features, with wooden beams and an open fire. (logs and wood provided) but it also has all modern facilities including a fully equipped (newly refurbished) kitchen diner, a sitting room with new TV and DVD player, and 3 bedrooms upstairs. (A double, twin and single.) The cottage hasa new electric central heating system and a new bathroom with separate shower has just been fitted. Outside is a patio with shed and there is a private car parking place. The cottage is most suitable for a family- with children- of up to 5
One dog is allowed but please do not allow it to go upstairs or on the new sofas in the sitting room.
