About Sutton on Sea
Sutton-on-Sea offers clean soft sands and good swimming at its award winning blue flag beach. It is a much quieter resort than its close neighbour Mablethorpe and being largely residential is quite possibly a little more sedate. Attractive gardens line the promenade, these are good for walking off a hearty evening meal.
This is a resort which has a wide appeal to families, apart from a beautiful beach and all the fun of sand castles, there is a great outdoor pool which is entirely safe for children. The town offers a cycleway, opportunities for horse-riding, a fairground in Mablethorpe, pubs, disco's, a golf course at Sandilands, and a nearby Seal Sanctuary.
A number of shops offer the usual basics, with a larger selection of shops to be found in Mablethorpe. There are cafe's and restaurants, and a good range of holiday accommodation including touring caravan sites and holiday cottages.
Attractions in the area include a watermill and wildfowl gardens.
