a Seaside Town in the county of Lincolnshire

About Saltfleet

This little place has a pleasing natural harbour, one of the few to be found along this part of the Lincolnshire coast. The village is quite delightful, it is quiet and sleepy with an array of sturdy red-brick cottages. Saltfleet Haven, lies at the estuary of the Great Eau, that runs a narrow, straight half mile. A variety of brightly painted small vessels are moored along here and it is safe to launch boats for 2 hours before and after high tide. The coastline along here is a mass of flat sand and grassy windswept dunes.

Just a short distance along the coast is the livelier resort of Cleethorpes, that offers miles of golden sands, surfing, yachting and safe bathing. The whole region has a wealth of wildlife and is a pleasant place to visit in summer or at any time of year.
