Description

Corporation Park

Corporation Park is a 44 acre traditional Victorian Park close to the centre of Blackburn, in Lancashire ... the park was opened on October 22nd 1857, 60,000 people attended creating a sensation in the town. It's now registered by English Heritage as a park and garden of special Historic interest.

If you go to the top of this park and cross the road, there is a watertank observation platform, on a clear day you can see most of Lancashire, including the coast. Thanks sue, once again you bring back pleasant memories of my birth town lol
