About Hereford
Hereford is a town in the west of England bordering wales. It has a beautiful cathedral which was established in the 7th century and a medieval bridge over the River Wye. Famous for its cider making all over the world. David Garrick (1717 - 1779), one of the most influential and popular figures in the whole of British theatre history was born here, as was the royal mistress of Charles II, Nell Gwynne. She was one of 13 of Charles's mistresses but the most popular with the public. There is a pub named after her on Monkmoor street in the City. The famous british fighting force the SAS are also based in Hereford and the area is famous too for its cattle, the white faced Herefordshire Bull which is used alot as an emblem to signify something as being from Herefordshire
