Brilley is an attractive village lying almost at the meeting point of England and Wales. It has unrivalled views across Herefordshire and Wales, extending from the beauty of the Brecon Beacons and the Welsh Black Mountains, to the stunning grandeur of the very English Malvern Hills and on a clear day the escarpment of the Cotswolds can be spotted.

Visitors find it a pleasant place to tarry with lots of interesting things to see and do. Hay on Wye, renowned as a centre for Second Hand Books is close by, this has interesting antique shops and a couple of old-world pubs. It is good hill-walking country, with hills perfect for pony-trekking and the River Wye offers the leisurely pursuits of fishing, canoeing and boating. There are several historic houses in the region including the 17th century timber framed Cwmmau Farmhouse with its adjacent farm buildings. At Kington for anyone really energetic there is a challenging golf course.

The village offers accommodation, pleasant places to enjoy a meal, and in a lovely wooded copse there is caravan and camping site.
