About Bosbury
The village of Bosbury stands in the middle of rich agricultural lands watered by the River Leadon which flows nearby. It is a region of hop fields and fruit orchards, interspersed by pretty cottages and gracious houses. The main village street is crammed with charming black and white half-timbered properties, one being the imposing Bell Inn.
Bosbury village church dates back to Norman times, it is an attractive building with a detached tower. Inside the church there are two impressive 16th-century monuments to members of the Harcourt family, these face each other in baroque splendour. In summer, the church is the setting for the local flower show.
From Bosbury there are lovely views towards the dramatic Malvern Hills and in the direction of Hereford is a vista of Hay Bluff and the Black Mountains. The old market town of Ledbury with its cobbled streets and fascinating market place is just a few minutes drive away.
