About Lepe
This is mostly a small country park amongst trees with beautiful views across the Solent towards the Isle of Wight. It has pleasant picnic spots, with bathing possible, despite the sand and shingle beach giving way to mud at low tide.
Lepe also offers the perfect opportunity to watch large sea-going liners sail through the Solent towards the open sea, and affords visitors the chance of seeing magnificent wild seabirds.
The country park is an excellent place for a pleasurable, family day out, its close proximity to the New Forest National Park is an added bonus allowing you to explore beautiful wooded scenery, and hopefully spot some of the New Forest's magnificent wild ponies.
