At night this bar is very popular with young people and creates a lively atmosphere. We benefit from having a late licence and are open till 1am during the week and 2am at weekends and you will always be welcome to join in the fun. Outside we also offer a quiet beer garden - the perfect spot to while away a summer's afternoon. Part of the pub dates back to 1650 but the site is believed to have monastic heritage dating back to the 1200s. Over the years there have been many claims of ghostly sightings and occurrences and you are sure to hear a tale or two if you are brave enough to ask. Our nine en-suite rooms are warm and cosy, comfortably equipped with complimentary tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast is included in the price with a choice of cold buffet and continental, full, Kippers or other specialities. Should you need to leave early we also provide a full packed lunch in lieu of breakfast. Devizes is just 10 minutes away by car and there are good local travel services available to the many nearby attractions. Notably these include Longleat Safari Park, Stonehenge, Avebury, Silbury Hill, Salisbury Cathedral and the Roman Baths at the fine city of Bath. There are many other places to visit and some stunning countryside walks, trails and cycle paths. The harvester suite provides function/conference room facilities for up to 75 theatre style, 100 for buffets or 160 for music and dance.
