Fishing Pond at Reddish Vale, Stockport

About Reddish

This is a densely populated area of Stockport, Greater Manchester. It is fortunate to be close to the edge of Cheshire, thus residents have the benefit of being within easy reach of some attractive countryside.

A feature of the suburb is attractive Reddish Vale Railway Viaduct which carries the railway traffic from Manchester to Sheffield. As it crosses the water travellers get good views of pleasant countryside and river wildlife. The River Tame flows through Reddish Vale to join with the River Goyt at Portwood, this joining of waters results in the renowned Mersey River. The vale has lovely tranquil wooded areas alive with an abundance of wildlife, these act as a magnet for walkers from all over the region who may also enjoy pleasant riverside paths. The reservoir offers opportunities for fishing. There is a tea-room for refreshments.

Reddish is a very pleasant area, it is therefore unsurprising to find it remains a sought after domiciliary region for those working in the surrounding larger cities.

For those seeking a wider range of facilities or more up-beat nightlife Manchester and Stockport are both within easy reach
