About Central London Mosque
The Central London Mosque, founded in 1965 was designed by Sir Frederick Gibberd. 1978 saw the completion of the Mosque. The building is one of outstanding Architectural design. The huge golden dome, interior marble flooring and amazing intricate mosaic work all add to its stunning beauty. The building was constructed as a place of worship for the Muslim community and visitors alike. Visitors to the Mosque are required to remove their shoes before entering the building. There is also a seperate gallery for ladies, in which they are required cover their heads.
