About Great Barrington
Great Barrington occupies a lovely position in the magnificent valley of the River Windrush. It is a quiet, tranquil spot, sprinkled with picturesque Cotswold cottages, has a lively pub - The Fox, and lying to the edge of the village at the meeting point of two roads, is a war memorial commemorating those of the village who lost their lives during WWI and WWII.
Great Barrington is close to its sister village of Little Barrington, it is also within driving distance of the Oxfordshire town of Witney and is close to many of the famous Cotswold town's and villages including Bibury and Chedworth which is also noted for the remarkable remains of an almost perfectly preserved Roman Villa.
