About Bourton-on-the-Hill

This pretty village, occupying a high plateau two miles west of Morton-in-the-Marsh is best known for its mellow, honey coloured Cotswold stone houses and cottages, in particular Slatter's Cottage which dates back to the 17th century.

Highly picturesque, but tiny, the village has only one public house - The Horse and Groom, which serves Real Ale, a good selection of wines and tasty food.

After savouring the ambience of the pub, take time to enjoy a stroll around this tranquil village, noting the pretty cottage gardens and the views over the rolling Cotswold countryside.
