Jenner Hut, Berkeley Castle

The Jenner Hut or Temple of Vaccinia was built for Dr. Jenner by his eccentric clerical friend Robert Ferrymann, who was interested in vaccination. Its date is uncertain. On certain days the poor of the district came to this hut to be vaccinated, free of charge by Dr. Jenner.
