Pictures of The Long Man
About The Long Man
Where he comes from nobody knows, nor does anyone know the identity of this 240 foot figure of a man carved into the side of a hill above the village.
Numerous theories abound, some say he is from the medieval period, others think him to be a relic of Saxon times, and some say he was carved by the people of the Iron-Age.
Puzzling as he is, he remains one of Wilmington's most interesting features
