Why is this place called 7 Sisters?

The Seven Sisters are the 7 white cliffs that run between Cuckmere Haven and Birling Gap (well, 6 of them are, the 7th is on the other side of Birling Gap).

Oh, to get to to this view, park up at Hill Barn and walk down the track. If you're going west along the A259 if you go past Cuckmere Haven, over the bridge and past the Golden Galleon pub and it's the first left after that.

Superb! I love the contrast of the sharp lighting on the cottages with the haziness of the cliffs beyond. The strong backlit effect is wonderful.

This is one of my favourite places to photograph. Each time you go the lighting is different. This is lovely!
