Pictures of Flamborough Lighthouse![]() Submitted by Barbara Whiteman(28th March 2008)Old Lighthouse This lighthouse, restored in 1996, made of chalk and the oldest lighthouse in the country, was built in 1674 King Charles gave permission for it to be built, but it is not known if it was ever used. The idea was to have a fire on the top of the tower of brushwood or coal.
