Description

The old Queen Elizabeth school

Between 1965 and 1975 about 90% of state secondary schools in England abandoned selection and became comprehensives. As part of this change Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School merged with Wimborne Secondary Modern and moved to the present site.

A great looking building. Built in 1849 and Grade 2 listed, it is apparently now retirement flats.
