Add to favourites About The StablesThe Stables adjoins our listed thatched 1610 farmhouse. It is ideally placed for easy access to all that East Devon and beyond has to offer. It is close to Exeter, The Jurassic Coast, many seaside towns, many activities and attractions. Specifically East Devon is ideal for the serious hiker and the less energetic walker alike as there are numerous paths to be discovered following the coasts and estuaries such as those at Budleigh Salterton and Topsham and commons such as Woodbury and Aylesbeare or indeed just along the country lanes. A five minute drive gives easy access to WestPoint - The Devon County Showground, The Devon Records Office, the Park and Ride for Exeter and Crealy Adventure Park. Close are numerous quality golf courses such as those at Woodbury Park, Exeter, East Devon at Budleigh Salterton and Dawlish Warren; Gardens can be enjoyed for example at Bicton, Pecorama, Killerton, Knightshayes & Escot Park; A choice of swimming pools , apart from the wonderful coastal beaches, can be found at Sidmouth, Exeter, Exmouth, Whimple and Topsham; Theatres and music venues, arts and crafts exhibitions and outlets, and museums abound to make it a truly cultural area. Exeter and the surrounding area has a wealth of cycle ways, many miles can be travelled without using main roads. For Sustenance There are many good pubs and serious dining establishments to seek out, some within a 5 minutes drive. We are only too happy to give suggestions on these! Regarding Facilities The Stables is on one level and offers 1 double bedroom with an ensuite shower room. Additionally there is a twin bedroom furnished with comfortable 3’ beds. This is adjoined by a family bathroom which includes a bath with an overhead electric shower. A light and spacious lounge/dining area gives access to a courtyard and seating area which also provides secure storage for bicycles. A well equipped fitted kitchen area completes the accommodation. Included in the price is all heating and electricity, bed linen and towels (not for the beach), tea towels, dishcloths, a selection of cleaning and washing materials, loo rolls, an hairdryer, games and books.
