About High Bickington
High Bickington lies in one of England's most beautiful and relaxing regions, it is a short distance from the meandering River Taw and is ideally set close to both Dartmoor and Exmoor, in an area with many historic buildings and popular attractions for family days out, particularly Exeter with its magnificent cathedral.
One of the most scenic aspects of the village is Millbrook Cottage Lake which is surrounded by dense woods, with wildlife habitats. The lake is a Mecca for local fishermen, with the landscape being perfect for bird watching. It has footpaths for lovely walks and some pleasant spots to enjoy a family picnic. For anyone wanting to be more energetic, High Bickington has a challenging a golf course.
