Pictures of Exeter Cathedral![]() Submitted by Stephen(22nd August 2008)Exeter Cathedral Inside Exeter Cathedral, the Late Decorated Gothic nave (1328-1369) makes quite an impact. It is sheltered by the longest unbroken Gothic ceiling in the world, which stands at a height of 20m (66 ft) and stretches for 90m (300 ft). It features graceful rib-vaults and oversized, richly painted bosses - one near the west end depicts the murder of Thomas a Becket. The overall effect has been compared to an avenue of stately trees.
