Description

Scandale Hydro Project ravages the valley

I had seen the signs of this Hydro Project back in December and they certainly have come on quite a way. Digging a wide swathe from the Sweden Coppice area and heading of up Scandale. Quite a disturbing mess at present with some wonderful stone walls 'knocked' down although I expect they were done carefully. Apparently there is a clause in the agreement that the contractors have make good on the landscaping front when finished, but I suspect they will still need some sort of access for machinery if and when maintenance is required.

I would have thought that the landscape will return to it's former glory- as you say it is in the contract but the access could well be an issue in the future. As always a great shot.
