Friday 14-9-12 was a very wet day but I had to get out so took the boat down to Bowness and on to Lakeside followed by the train to Haverthwaite spent an hour there and returned. A few minutes after the steamer Teal had left Lakeside for Bowness this rainbow appeared very faint then brightened only for a couple of seconds.....magical! Pays to be ready even in the wet.....other folk missed it 'cos their cameras were cosseted in bags and things.....
