About Mullion

One glance around this attractive town tells you that Mullion has always been a prosperous little place. It has many elegant and gracious properties and some very fine cottages. Mullion is an extremely busy place that annually welcomes hordes of visitors who come to enjoy the pleasures of the town as well as the dramatic coastal scenery of Mullion Cove. The quaint harbour here, has an 'old world charm' that constantly draws visitors back, again and again.

High on the cliffs towering above Mullion Cove, stands the 15th-century parish church of St.Melan. This is a fine church that contains many relics of the past. It has beautifully carved 16th-century bench ends and some glorious work by C.F. Eden, the 20th-century stained glass artist. St.Melan's extends a warm welcome to all and is well worth a visit.

Mullion Island, is just a little way offshore. It forms a sanctuary for many sea-birds. There are many beautiful walks, both in the town and around the lovely little harbour, and from the cliffs above Mullion Cove there are commanding views over fabulous coastal scenery and of the mighty ocean beneath.

This is an excellent surfing area and nearby attractions include; The Marconi Memorial, Flambards and Goonhilly Satelite Station. As you would expect from a cornish resort, fresh fish and seafood is available in nearly all the local inns and restaurants.
