About Gwylan House

Gwylan House enjoys glorious sea views across Mousehole harbour to St Michael’s Mount and the Lizard peninsula. This listed cottage is located only a few yards from the water's edge at the heart of the former fishing village of Mousehole, three miles west of Penzance.
Today this quiet, ancient harbour shelters two sandy beaches which are perfect for children. Gwylan House has a fully enclosed garden with sea views. The back door leads into a “secret passage” and rear exit – ideal for sandy feet.
The cottage is equipped to a high standard, including telephone and wifi broadband access. Please note that the steep stairs and steps which add to the character of Gwylan House make this property unsuitable for very young children or anyone with mobility problems.
The property sleeps up to 5 people. There are 2 double bedded rooms with sea views, 1 double bedded room with ensuite shower and WC and 1 single room. Upstairs bathroom with shower over bath, basin and WC. Living room, kitchen/dining room, utility room with additional shower, separate WC. No children under the age of 5 due to steep stairs. No smoking permitted. No pets allowed.
Mousehole has retained its unspoilt character as a Cornish fishing village, although the fishing fleet is now based at Newlyn. Beaches, shops, galleries, post office, restaurants and traditional pubs with good food are all within easy walking distance. Sea fishing trips and pleasure cruises are available from Penzance. Two golf courses are within easy reach.
