Description

Runcorn Spirualist Church

This church was built in 1888 and fitted snugly under the arches of the main line railway bridge that spans the River Mersey. I found it by chance on 3rd October late in the morning.

Great shot of this wonderfully quirky building. Makes me wonder if the rumblings of the trains passing overhead disturb the spirits.

A superb pic of a very strange arrangement of two pieces of architecture in an odd juxtaposition- If the bridge was there first, I wonder what the motivation was. The minister would have to shout but at least he could move Heaven and Earth. Nice one Rod.

Well done for looking beyond the obvious and finding something unusual and eccentric.
