About Curridge
Curridge is a village lying in the heart of the Berkshire countryside a short distance from the town of Newbury.
The village was mentioned in the Doomsday Book, when an Abbey of St.Pierre-sur-Dives was recorded. These days the village is known for its leafy lanes, handsome properties and the number of Livery yards and riding school's to be found in the region.
The Berkshire Downs is famous for its gallops, here you can often see some of the finest horse flesh in the world. There are several country hotels and inns including the noted Bunk Inn with its restaurant of high repute, and the delightful Many Trees Hotel which can be found nestling in the shelter of spectacular woodland scenery.
There is horse racing at Newbury, several wildfowl parks and many other nearby places of interest including the waters of the lovely River Kennet.
This is a pleasant place for a romantic weekend or for a few days break to explore some of Berkshires finest countryside. Add town to favourites
