The Barns Hotel is situated in a beautiful riverside location, within 3.5 acres of landscaped gardens, yet just 10 miles from the M1 and 8 miles from A1. The tranquil setting offers views of the great River Ouse and the local country park and wonderful grounds in which to stroll and relax. For more strenuous activities, guests have access to the local Oasis Fitness and Leisure Club. Samuel Whitbread, founder of the brewing business, was born in the main house in 1720 and it remained within the Whitbread family until 1890s, becoming a hotel in 1987.
